This colorful zebra was  painted on an Ampersand Aquabord from Texas and then framed in black wood. I had first painted a miniature zebra that immediately sold and was shipped to Wisconsin. I liked that zebra painting so much that I decided to paint a much larger version. The background is in composite gold leaf, the body of the zebra is in watercolour and the varnish is acrylic.

I then  painted a lovely giraffe in the same technique. They are now both sod and displayed side by side.
