This serene and elegant iris is painted on a 5" x7"x1/8" ampersand panel.

The painting has many layers of watercolor, acrylic, glossy acrylic finish as well as gold metallic texture. The effect is almost that of the ancient technique of cloisonne. It is part of my collection "Nature's Little Gems".
